My inpuary

the modern concept of 'force' was first proposed by Newton. He had this brilliant insight that force changes the momentum (or the amount of movement) an object has, rather than its speed as previously thought.

Of course, other great thinkers before Newton had came up ideas to describe what a force is. Aristotle, for example, thought that force is what causes an object to move. But they were often wrong or at least partially wrong.

who invented the first sport

Even some of Newton's ideas are wrong. But well, we have to credit him for the first scientific notion of 'force'.

The first sports or game invented were hunting and war related. The Mayans had a game pre the Egyptians which looked like soccer but you were put to death if you lost. The Greeks were the first to fully record games. Thesew ere all male events based on runnning, spear throwing, feats of strength such as wrestling. which still is practicesd in the same format now (nothing like wwf etc etc)
